Driving Review - 2012 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport - 6 MT - Test Drive video
Video Rating: 4 / 5
Autosavant.com's Kevin Gordon recently had the chance to borrow a 2012 Corvette Grand Sport for a few hours and gave his impressions of the aging American su...
im biased, but get the vette. The other cars a nice too so it really depends on if you want a backseat or not. THe Camaro and Challenger are bigger and heavier, right now you can get a GS for cheaper than a ZL1 because of the new model coming out.
That's probably one of the better video reviews ive seen of the vette. I really like the country side and the fact that you had the roof off so we could all hear the NPP exhaust, but seriously, the vette is a great car in any form. Good Job!
He's right about the awesome torque band. I was in a friend's Corvette during an Auto X run. He was blasting around the course when he said "Something feels 'off'", he looked down and he was in 4th Gear! XD
Compared to the Z06 is this more reliable? The Z06 worries me due to the "dropped valve" problem and I just want to know whether or not I should purchase a Grand Sport over a C5Z.
i said it before and i'll say it again: so many incredibly annoying auto-mag videos on youtube but yours continue to bel among the best. also cheers for being able to talk rationally about the vette. if i were in charge of this video it would be 12 minutes of me gunning it while giggling like a little girl.
Good info, but coming from a 6MT Corvette owner I can tell you that I would absolutely NEVER put that car in 6th gear at 30 mph. Yeah, sure, it can do it, but you're really beating the hell out of it, lagging the engine like that. The minimum speed that I go into 6th at is 70 mph. Even 5th I save only for 50-55 mph minimum. Anything under that, 1st-4th is perfectly fine and you'll still get amazing mileage for a car like this.
What is this idiot talking about? This Corvette is a 2013 model as Corvette was first launched in 1953. And it's not the last Corvette... It's the last one of the C6 generation, as the Corvette C7 is being launched in 2014...
One of the best reviewers on the intarweb. Makes the review interesting the whole time, keep up the great work.

ОтветитьУдалитьDoes the c6 z06 have the same chasis flex as the grandsport? (the gap change between the hood and fender like the grandsport)
ОтветитьУдалитьgood review.
ОтветитьУдалитьTake off your wrist watch, your fucking up the center console .
ОтветитьУдалитьYes. I'm afraid.
ОтветитьУдалитьGod! But I love Corvettes.
ОтветитьУдалитьlike the way you drive a sports car, other reviews drive it like prius haha
ОтветитьУдалитьafter watching the professor lay a patch in the nice, quiet neighborhood, consider me subscribed! awesome review.
ОтветитьУдалитьWell, no. It's that you said you were based out of Philly and i just wanted to be sure.
ОтветитьУдалитьI have heard of them. Do you work there?
ОтветитьУдалитьIf you're out of Philly then maybe you've heard of Chapman Chevrolet on Essington Ave?
ОтветитьУдалитьMakes me want to go out and drive my grand sport but got to weak until it
ОтветитьУдалитьYou better watch it on that narrow road, or we'll be seeing you on "Corvettes gone wrong". By the way, why don't you know what year your car is? lol
ОтветитьУдалить70,000 for a Corvette? No thank you haha
