  1. It's a bit of marine-grade vinyl from Jo-Anne fabric. Lasts forever, and just as tough as stock. It just takes a few staples and you're good! Search youtube for seat recovering, there are some good videos out there.

  5. Riding an electric motorcycle is about as enjoyable as watching porn...and wearing a condom while one does it.

  6. That almost answers my question in itself. Ive been set on a drz400sm for a while now, bu lately I havent been sure if a dual sport is more appropriate. The king of dual sports if you ask me is the ktm 650 and DRZ has got the reliable supermoto down.

Its apples to oranges I know, but what is your opinion on one vs. the other?

  7. And the production of those batteries is far worse for the environment than a gasoline powered motorcycle is. The connection of the bike, the engine and the rider is a magical thing.

If you just want the fun without the actual motorcycle part, go buy a scooter or a bicycle, they are both much cheaper.

  8. So safety and fun are the reasons to get a Dual Sport Motorcycle. The only thing that would make this better is if your bike didn't make as much noise, was smoother, had more torque, and could operate on 1 cent per mile. That's why I want a Zero DS.

Electric is the future. That gas engine motoring grates on my ears. I'd prefer to actually hear nature instead of the bike and see wildlife instead of scaring them away before I get there. Unfortunately, it's expensive to buy because it's new tech.

  9. Thanks I appreciate the help. I'm going to test drive the KLR650, and Suzuki DRZ400SM and DR650SE. Hoping I don't dump it on my first test ride.

  13. incomprehensible and pointless. Nobody listened to you as a child i bet. So sad. I've been there. But i managed to get through English 101 and 102 in community college which helped quite a bit.

  15. Yeah I know where you're coming from man! That road is pretty tame compared to the trails I take now... but that was a real-life lunch break and I couldn't come back to teach class looking like a mud monster :) The cameras were a ATC9k on the bike and a GoPro Hero on the helmet.

  16. I ride a 650 dakar. love it and Utah. keep waking up for work and wondering how i'm going to get there and still have a job. BTW: I'm pretty sure i could have ridden that entire journey on any motorcycle. I was waiting for a real off road experience. But g-d-mn it's so beautiful out there. What camera (s) did you use?

  17. Thanks! I actually like the trails so much I got a DRZ400 and ride almost always off road now. The licence plate on the back is just to get it to the dirt without a truck :) I'm thinking about getting some streetish tires for the DRZ... not quite supermoto status but some 80-20s or something like that.

  18. Next time you need tires you should try getting about a %70 on road and %30 off road tire I heard u didn't like going too fast around the corners and having a more road friendly tread you will feel more stable and you can still go offloading just not over huge mountains lol rocky roads and trails which seems like what you go through they will do fine.

  21. Alright cool, thanks for replying. I used to ride a long time ago, but I feel like I didn't make the most of it. It's always on my mind now lol. Man, the DRZ looks like a really fun bike. I'm thinking about getting a KLX 250s. There is only one problem though, I'm only like 5'7 and I don't wanna mess my dream up by being too short to ride lol. Do you think my height would be a big problem? Also, I was visiting my family down in Torrey. Beautiful area.
