I would love to know the science of catching Chapman if the ball reaches the plate faster than you can blink. I mean think about it....its kinda scary.
Whitey numbers are getting smaller. Your women have known this since the 70's ebony love life style. Stick to your triathlons and volleyball... err water polo!
Nolan Ryan was faster.. they measure the speed at a different distance now (out of the hand), than they did then (close to the plate). Using today's technology, Ryan would've been near 110.
In his appearance last night where he struck out the side and got the save, he hit 103 once, 102 twice, 99/100/101 eight times, and four other pitches that weren't fastballs (courtesy of watching the whole half-inning on MLB.com). He can still get up to 104/105 if he's well rested, but he's usually not-so-well rested, being an MLB relief pitcher and all.
think about this...what if Sports Science did a special about Aroldis Chapman throwing at the the Little League world series length pitching mound. How fast would that feel to be batting...
amazing
ОтветитьУдалитьhe didn't throw 105 mph it was 106.7 mph
ОтветитьУдалитьI'm no sport scientist but that was a cool vid
